We are delighted to extend you an invitation to the Second international Korotkoff Congress, which will be held in Saint-Petersburg from September 17 to 19, 2009. In November 1905 Russian surgeon Korotkoff introduced an auscultative method of blood pressure measurement, which is still used as a reference method all over the world. In 2005 the first Korotkoff Congress was held in St.Petersburg devoted to 100-anniversary of the method. A decision was to have regular Congresses every 4 yeas named after this outstanding scientist. The scientific programme of the planned meeting will be devoted to different aspects of hypertension. St.Petersburg is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and a cultural and scientific canter of Russia. We wish to achieve a perfect mix of art and science, research and culture.

Registration for the meeting includes admission to the Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception, access to scientific sessions, exhibition, refreshments from 17 to 19, September 2009 and printed materials (One copy of final program, abstract book and exhibition guide).

Delegates can register for the congress by completing the form and posting it to the Secretariat by e-mail . Deadline for early registation is July 1, 2009. The registration form can be obtained from the website
Places at the meeting cannot be reserved in the absence of a registration form and payment.
Cancellation:
In case of cancellation, provided that written notice reaches the Scientific-Organizing Secretariat no later than August 1, 2009, the registration fee will be refunded less 30% for administrative charges.
Regretfully written cancellations received after August 1, 2009 will not entitle the registrant to any refund: however, these registrants will receive their Congress material by mail after the meeting. Refunds will be made after the meeting.

Deadline for reservation is July, 1 2009. After this date the requests for accommodation are accepted with no guarantee.

Cancellation should be made in written form by e-mail
Cancellation before August 1, 2009 no penalty. The paid amount is returned to the customers account after the Congress.

LANGUAGE
The official languages of the congress are English and Russian. Simultaneous translation will be organized in all sessions. Abstracts, Posters and oral presentations can be made in both langueges.
