THE NURSE magazine is a proposed monthly family magazine that seeks to give information to the general public about the medical world in language that the 'common mwanachi' can understand. Research has shown that the various medical publications in the market are written in a language that is only understandable to those working in the medical industry. This has led to limited information available to the general public on their health and how/where to access various medical services. In light of this, people end up making various decisions relating to their health without proper information leading at times catastrophic consequences to their health.

The magazine seeks to give in incisive look at the medical world and related industries to the general public in a language they can unde ...rstand.

The magazine will be edited and published by The Education Information Centre - EIC. The Education Information Centre - EIC is a Marketing and PR consultancy firm that provides a wide range of professional, value add and tailored services to institutions in the service industry by creating communication channels with its target consumers.

The NURSE magazine wishes to provide information to the general public on the following topical issues:
How to improve your mental health
Improving the health of your heart
Why you must stick to a prescription
Renal health
How to take care of a common cold
Kid's health
Risks of cholesterol
Food seasonings and health
Why you need contact lenses
The right diet
Pregnancy
The role of government in the medical industry
Common medical terms
Your rights when visiting a hospital
Among others.........

The magazine will also have a listing of:
Institutions registered to offer degree or diploma in pharmacy
Licensed drugs manufacturers
Licensed pharmacists premises
Technologist premises

We are contacting stakeholders and professionals in the medical world to write articles on the above topics in a language that Kenyan can understand.

As the Drug Regulatory Authority established under the Pharmacy and Poisons Act, Chapter 244 of the Laws of Kenya, we are writing to seek your participation in the write up to the inaugural magazine through articles for the magazine the following area/s:
The role of the board in regulating the practice of pharmacy and manufacture and trade in drugs and poisons.
The role of the National Quality Control * also seek your help in getting an up to date list of institutions registered to offer degree or diploma in pharmacy, licensed drugs manufacturers, licensed pharmacist premises and technologist premises.

We expect the first issue (20,000) copies to printed and circulated to the general public by 5th January 2012.

All articles should be sent to the editor by 21/11/2011.

Your advice and thoughts on this project are highly welcome. Kindly revert to the undersigned incase of any *rds,
