'BIOCUP'is intended for use in the orthopaedic field for the surgery of the acetabular

component of the coxo-femoral joint.

It consists of a press-fit acetabular cup composed by a metallic shell in titanium alloy and by an UHMWPE insert to be housed into the metallic shell, destined to constitute the sliding surface on which the prosthetic head of the femoral component articulates.

The snap-in blocking between metallic cup and insert guarantees an absolutely reliable

fixation of the two components; besides the peripheral tooth of the shell, in the equatorial plane zone, assures the non-rotation of the insert and permits also to control the correct anteversion of the acetabular cup on the X-rays.
