TECNICAS RADIFISICAS manufactures medical equipment for hospitals, particularly in Nuclear Medicine facilities (which could be a branch of Medical Imaging, and/or Radiotherapy) and also we do Radiation Protection Projects.
o Regarding Nuclear Medicine in Medical Imaging, we manufacture the equipment for protection against radiation, specially for the workers that manipulate the radioisotopes that are used in PET or SPECT (Hot cells, Shielded laminar flow cabinets, Waste tanks etc...).
o Regarding Nuclear Medicine in Radiotherapy, for treating cancer with radioisotopes (like 131Iodine for Thyroid cancer), we also manufacture the radiation protection equipment, and besides a Radioactive Liquid Waste Management System since, the urine of the patients treated with radioisotopes are r ...adioactive waste, and must be treated before pouring.
o In Radiotherapy, we also have developed a software Planning System, to do the planning of the treatments with Linear Accelerator Radiotherapy.
o RADIATION PROTECTION PROJECTS: We are a company that is called, Radiological Protection Technical Unit, authorized by the Nuclear Safety Council in Spain since 1985, and we do Projects of Radiation Protection like: shielding, and Hospital facilities design, mainly in: Nuclear Medicine, Radiotherapy and X-Rays.
We have done installations in all the main hospitals in Spain,
and abroad we have also installed:
o 2 Radioactive Liquid Waste Management System in King Fahed Hospital (Damman, Saudi Arabia).
o 1 Hot lab unit (Nuclear Mecicine) with Liquid Waste Management System in Republica Dominicana.
o Numerous Radiotherapy Planning Systems in South America (Brasil, Chile and Argentina). Read more
